L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil

I'm a big lover of hair oils or anything else that promises to treat and nourish my hair. After trying to dye my hair blonde last Summer, my locks are still recovering from all the damage. For the last couple of months I've been loving the Avon Argan Oil but I think I've found something even better!

After doing the Flora Mini Marathon in June, I received this free sample in my goody bag. I've only just around to using it and I am in love!

I only had the sample size so I wanted to get the best results from it, so that I could decide whether to by the full size or not!

I used a few drops of the oil and put it in my hair about 3 hours before washing my hair. Then after I washed my hair, I added two small drops to the ends of my hair, like it says on the instrctions.
After blow-drying my hair, I noticed a drastic difference in the texture of my hair. It was a lot softer and a lot less frizzier, especially at the ends!
Also, as my hair has gotten quite long, it can be extremely difficuly to brush, but this made it a hundred times easier!!

I am so impressed with this product, I didn't think it could get any better than the Avon Oil I had been using! The full size is just over €10 so I am definetley going to buy it!!

Beauty bargain - Benefit High Beam

You know when you have those days when you're just browsing around the shop, you spot something that's incredibly cheap, looks promising and you just HAVE to get it? Well that's what happened to me with this product!

I was walking around Dealz last week looking for party decorations and this Chit Chat highlighter caught my eye. Mainly just because of its almost identical packaging to that of Benefits High Beam. I had no idea what to expect from it and I obviously couldn't test it in the shop but because of the admirable price tag of €1.49 (just like everything else in that shop) I couldn't not buy it, could I?

I used to own High Beam, but it was only the mini size that I got in Glamour magazine a loooong time ago and I used it all! I did really like it though and it was mainly the price tag that put me off purchasing the full size!

I would say that the consistency of the Chit Chat highlighter is a little thicker and gloppier than the Benefit, which means you need less of this product as you do of high beam. The packaging is almost identical, with just the writing being different.

It does give a really nice glow on the face, just like the Benefit dupe, so alike that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in my opinion. I like using it on my cheek bones and a small bit down my nose and it looks really nice. I also mixed a small bit in with my foundation and I loved the look it gave!

All in all, I think I'll continue using this as I don't find much of a difference in these two products, except for the staggering price tag! If you're thinking about getting the Benefit one, I'd totally recommend that you try this one first. It's just as good!

Benefit High Beam €25.85
Chit Chat Highlighter €1.49, available in Dealz outlets across Ireland

Favourite sites for makeup!

I know a lot of people enjoy buying their makeup online. It's easier, you don't need to leave your house and the best part is the excitement you get when your package finally arrives!
I thought I'd share a few of my favourite sites to shop :)
BeautyBay is one of my favourites! They have a lot of high end brands such as Urban Decay, Sebastian Hair Care, YSL, OPI and many more! They do hair, makeup, nails, skin care, makeup brushes and so much more. They also have free shipping to Ireland right now!!!!
Feel Unique is another one of my favourites! They have a mixture of high end brands and also some lower end/drugstore brands! Some of my fav are Lancome, DIOR and Essie! They currently have free worldwide shipping! How great is that?!
Cloud 10 Beauty oh how I love you! This is the perfect site to get Sleek Makeup, Real Techniques brushes, Elizabeth Arden etc! What I love is that they do foundation samples, so you can order a free foundation sample to try out, along with your other items. It's perfect for those who don't know they're right colour! Also, they have the nicest customer service I've personally ever witnessed. Go check them out!! :)
Beauty Joint sells brands like NYX, Wet n Wild, Milani and ELF that are not easily got over here in Ireland or even in the UK! I love this site for that, although shipping can sometimes be expensive. I think it is worth it though.
I actually only recently realised that ASOS sold beauty products! I was delighted because they stock brands like Rimmel and Bourjois but they also stock Benefit, Nars, MOR and OPI! Can it get any better?! Ehh yes it can, they have free worldwide shipping too!!
Do you any of yous use any of these sites?
Also, are there any Irish girls here who buy Mac online? I've yet to find a trusty site that sells Mac, since the Mac website itself doesn't ship to Ireland! :( If anyone knows where I could find a good site, PLEASE let me know!

Beauty - Would you rather?

Hello! So a few days ago I was tagged by the lovely Abundance of Erica to do the Beauty Would You Rather tag! I've read loads of these but I never done one myself so I thought I'd give this one ago. It seems like a bit of fun!
If you want to do this tag, go ahead! A lot of people have already done this tag so I'm not going to bother tagging anyone. If you want to do it then go for it! :)

Here it goes....

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Palettes and eyeshadows definitely! Mascara is something that I cannot live without! I could cope with not having any eyeshadow but not masacara or even eyeliner. Without them I look like I have no eyes!!
2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I would chop it all off! I'm all for long hair but if it wasn't cut reglarly it would have horrible split ends and just be generally unhealthy!? I'd rather it grow back healthy than be a tangled up mess.
3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I can't really answer this, as I'm not a huge blush fan. If I had to pick though, I'd say coral because I just love all things coral right now!
4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
As much as I'd love to spend it all on makeup, I don't think I would. I have so much makeup so I'd probably spend the money on clothes because my wardrobe is looking a little empy at the moment!!
5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Oh I like this question! Haha I'd have to say lipstick as eyeliner! I'd much rather have a bright eye instead of a black/brown lip!
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Well, considering I live in Ireland and we don't have Sephora here *tear*, then I have to say MAC! Except I really wish MAC would deliver to Ireland. It's such a pain that they don't. Dublin is probably the closest place I can get MAC and that's a 2 hour drive from where I live! :( boooo.
7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Eyeshadow! I'm just starting to get into wearing lipsticks lately and I love trying new colours. I think you couldn't go wrong with a neutral eye, where as a different lip colour just changes the look completely!
8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Well where I live, our Winters are cold, and our Summers are not much better! So I'd wear Winter clothes in Summer just because the weather probably wouldn't be much better in the Summer! That's Ireland for ye'!
9. Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?
BRIGHT! I love bright nails! I usually have bright nails, no matter what time of the year! I don't like dark polishes on me, I think they make my hands look even paler than they are and just look dull!
10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Lip product!!! As I said before, mascara is essential for me!
11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Messy bun! I have wavy/curly hair so if I want to wear a ponytail that actually looks good, I'd have to straighten it! A messy bun would be easier and a lot quicker!
12. Would you rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lip-gloss?
I NEVER USE LIP GLOSS! Ugh I hate lipgloss! Probably because of when I was little and I'd wear those horrible little lip glosses you got in sets that were sticky and smelt like melted plastic.. that's what probably put me off!!
13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? Or sharpie them in everyday?
sharpie them in everyday. It would look ridiclous but it would be better than having none at all. And I could get a brown sharpie, use it lightly.. hey it might even look good ;)
14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
...... This ones haaardddd. Nail polish is like my #1 beauty love, I'm constantly painting my nails! But I feel like makeup is not really something I could do without. It boosts my confidence alot, where as nail polish just makes my hands look pretty! I'd rather a nice face over nice hands! haha.
Soo, that's it for the tag! I actually found this really hard to do! I've probably been sitting here for an hour trying to decide on all the answers!!
I hope you enjoyed it, and I'll speak to you soon!

June Favourites!

Hello everyone!
I cannot believe that it's July already! It feels like no length ago I was opening up my Christmas pressies and celebrating the new year! Scary!
I've never done a favourites before and they're one of my favourite posts to read so yep, here's the things I've been loving recently :)

So first of I've been loving the Elemis Fresh Skin Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser, €25  (woah there's a mouthful!!) I received the whole freshskin range back about two years ago in a competition. I loved all of it but this moisturiser was by far my favourite. I've since repurchased it twice and after trying different moisturisers in between, I always come back to this one!

I think I've found my favourite tan!! The Karora Self Tanning Mist, €14.99, is quickly becoming my go to tan! I picked this up at the Irish Beauty Show for only a FIVER and I'm so glad I did. It gives such a nice, natural bronze tan without being too dark. I think it's perfect for day-time use! Also, the smell is amaaazing! It smells like oranges! If you're looking for a good everyday tan then I suggest you have a look at this!

These two products have also been top of my list this month! I'm a big mascara girl and love big long lashes, so now that I've discovered Benefit They're Real my life is complete! Since I've started wearing it people have actually asked me if my lashes are real, so big thumbs up to benefit, it does exactly what it says on the tin! I haaate applying liquid eyeliner because I ALWAYS mess up and do the line to thick, but since getting this Catrice Liquid Liner (available in Pennys) for about €4/€5 it's been so much easier! It has a felt tip applicator but its so thin and precise.. I love it!

This is pretty basic and boring but I wanted a hand gel and I spotted this bad boy in Pennys for like €2 so I snapped it up! I don't know how well it works at killing germs etc but I just love the smell! And the packaging is kind of nice too! I've been bringing this with me everywhere and I'm loving it.

This is kind of like a rediscovery of mine! I've been using a powder from my BCC contour palette to set my foundation for the last while but then I remembered my trusty Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder, €7.49 and how much I loved it! It gets rid of shine without leaving me looking cakey and powdery! It's a really finely milled, light powder and I love it!

Ohhh this stuff is so good! It's the Avon 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil and if I remember correctly it cost my about €5? Anyways, my hair isn't in the best condition as it's still recovering from last summer when I thought I'd be smart and bleach my hair myself! Not a good idea. This oil just helps my hair look and feel smooth and shiny and stops it from looking dry and brittle like it actually is!!
(sorry for the picture, blogger was not liking me tonight and refused to rotate my photo for me, grrr)

Bonus favourite ;)
Okay I know this isn't beauty or fashion related at all but the last week or so I have been absolutely obsessed with this song and I just had to share it with you! I'm constantly singing it everywhere I go and I just can't get enough of it. Like seriously I mean it's got to the stage where my Mam told me to shut up.. yup.
