Debs Nails

I don't know if many of you know this but this week I had my Debs! If you're not Irish then the debs is pretty much like prom! A night that starts off glamorous and classy and ends with beer stained dresses and missing ties! It's great fun though and I'd do it all again tomorrow if I could!
My nails on the night got more compliments than ever! So I thought I'd do a quick post and show you!
I bought fake nails from boots. A box of 200 plain old nails. I stuck them on and then just painted them as if they were my own nails. I have pretty long nails myself anyway but they weren't in great shape so I thought these would look better!

It's basically just a purple polish with some silver glitter polish and a few silver rhinestones here and there!
Barry M Gelly Hi-shine in Plum, Barry M nail paint in diamond glitter and just a wheel of rhinestones I picked up from Dealz :)

The night itself was just so good! I brought my best girl friend (because boys are stupid) and I had the best time.

See what I mean about the missing ties??;)

I hope you liked the post and thanks for reading!

The Nude Scene - Perfect Nude!

I was shopping my stash the other day and I came across a Catrice lipstick that I bought ages ago and if I'm honest, I forgot I even had it!

I tried it on and became mesmorised at how I could forget that I owned such a pretty, nude lipstick!
The colour is The Nude Scence and it's by Catrice Cosmetics, which you can find in most Pennys and some pharmacys around Ireland!

The colour itself is perfect because its not too ''foundation lips'' looking because it has a slight peach tint to it rather than a brown.
It has a really nice creamy texture and it does last reasonably long on the lips. I even ate an icecream and when I looked in the mirror, my lipstick was still in place! I don't find it drying at all and I really do love it.
I can't remember the exact price of this lipstick, but I'm sure it was no more than €5/€6!

(I have a top on I swear, you just can't see it in this picture)

I'm going to try out some more Catrice lipsticks after trying this out. Catrice are a really impressive brand that are also really cheap, so you should give them a go :)

Thanks so much for reading this post!

Braided Nails

As you might have guessed by now, I love doing my nails! I'm always trying out new designs and looking for inspiration on pintrest! I came across a braided like nail design on Cute Polishes channel and I had to re create it! You just need 3 different colours of nail polish and that's it. No special tools!

It's so easy to do! Here's how:
  1. Paint your nails one of the three colours that you chose.
  2. Pick your second colour and paint a stripe the thickness of the brush from one corner to the other.
  3. Use the last colour and do the same, but on the other side of the nail
  4. Keep doing these steps until you get to the bottom of your nails.
Easy!

You can use any colours at all and it will still look great! Let me know if you try these out! :)

ALSO, I'd love if you could send me some nail design ideas or any designs you would like to see me do! So feel free to contact me and let me know :)

Purederm Exfoliating Foot Mask

We've all been there.. maybe from wearing heels far too much, stubborn shoes, eczema and other medical conditions or maybe just for no reason at all! At some stage or another we've all experienced dead skin or calluses on our feet! And if you haven't, you're either lying or you're very lucky! As gross and disgusting as it is, you can't ignore it no matter how much you want to!

The skin on our feet is naturally dry, unlike the skin on the rest of the body. The skin on our feet has no oil glands, so it relies on hundreds of thousands of sweat glands to keep our feet moisturised! Many of us ignore this and don't moisturise our feet enough! Lets face it, no one likes feet and its easier just to ignore them!

I myself suffer from it, due to me walking on my tippy toes (yes, tippy toes) from a young age! I've tried Ped Egg and other such things but nothing ever seemed to work! That's until I came across Purederm Exfoliating Foot Mask at the counter in Pennys one day. It immediately drew my attention when I seen it and when I seen the price tag of €3.99 I knew there was no going back! I didn't have much high hopes for the product, but I was pleasantly surprised!

The claim on the packaging is that ''It removes all calluses over time, visibly smoothing your feet within two weeks.'' It also says that it contains Papaya, Lemon, Apple, Orange and other natural botanical extracts including Chamomile Extract. Swanky ay?

The product itself is basically to plastic sock-type masks that contain a liquid. The liquid to me smells a bit like a cleaning product, but it;s nothing strong, so that wasn't an issue for me. You simply cut open the little socks and slip your feet in. It feels strange at first, you basically have your feet in bags of cold liquid, but after a few minutes it feels normal and kind of relaxing. It says to leave them on for 60-90 minutes, and I'd recommend not trying to walk around while they're on! I had the unfortunate experience of slipping on my tiled kitchen floor.. not nice!
After the time is up, you just slip the socks off, throw them in the bin and rinse off your feet. Now i expected to see results immediately, despite it saying on the packaging saying it takes up to 5 days to see a result! But me being the impatient person I am wanted them to work right there and then!

Okay, so after a few days it begins to get disgustingly enjoyable! I noticed after a shower one day that the skin on my feet was peeling off. It didn't hurt at all, i couldn't even feel it! It was pretty sick I will admit, but the enjoyment of having nice smooth feet afterwards made up for it! After a few days of the peeling, it was so noticeable how softer and smoother my feet were! I was amazed! If you have severe dry skin, do a couple of these and I swear you will never look back!

Pros
  • Extremely inexpensive.
  • Easy to do, no work required.
  • No pain.
  • Does exactly what it says it does!
Cons
  • It takes about a week to two weeks to completely work.
  • Those socks can be dangerous and slippy!
All in all, I absolutely love this product! Completely worth the small price of €4. For once my impulse buying really did pay off! If you haven't tried these yet then you're missing out and need to go and get some!!

L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil

I'm a big lover of hair oils or anything else that promises to treat and nourish my hair. After trying to dye my hair blonde last Summer, my locks are still recovering from all the damage. For the last couple of months I've been loving the Avon Argan Oil but I think I've found something even better!

After doing the Flora Mini Marathon in June, I received this free sample in my goody bag. I've only just around to using it and I am in love!

I only had the sample size so I wanted to get the best results from it, so that I could decide whether to by the full size or not!

I used a few drops of the oil and put it in my hair about 3 hours before washing my hair. Then after I washed my hair, I added two small drops to the ends of my hair, like it says on the instrctions.
After blow-drying my hair, I noticed a drastic difference in the texture of my hair. It was a lot softer and a lot less frizzier, especially at the ends!
Also, as my hair has gotten quite long, it can be extremely difficuly to brush, but this made it a hundred times easier!!

I am so impressed with this product, I didn't think it could get any better than the Avon Oil I had been using! The full size is just over €10 so I am definetley going to buy it!!

Beauty bargain - Benefit High Beam

You know when you have those days when you're just browsing around the shop, you spot something that's incredibly cheap, looks promising and you just HAVE to get it? Well that's what happened to me with this product!

I was walking around Dealz last week looking for party decorations and this Chit Chat highlighter caught my eye. Mainly just because of its almost identical packaging to that of Benefits High Beam. I had no idea what to expect from it and I obviously couldn't test it in the shop but because of the admirable price tag of €1.49 (just like everything else in that shop) I couldn't not buy it, could I?

I used to own High Beam, but it was only the mini size that I got in Glamour magazine a loooong time ago and I used it all! I did really like it though and it was mainly the price tag that put me off purchasing the full size!

I would say that the consistency of the Chit Chat highlighter is a little thicker and gloppier than the Benefit, which means you need less of this product as you do of high beam. The packaging is almost identical, with just the writing being different.

It does give a really nice glow on the face, just like the Benefit dupe, so alike that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in my opinion. I like using it on my cheek bones and a small bit down my nose and it looks really nice. I also mixed a small bit in with my foundation and I loved the look it gave!

All in all, I think I'll continue using this as I don't find much of a difference in these two products, except for the staggering price tag! If you're thinking about getting the Benefit one, I'd totally recommend that you try this one first. It's just as good!

Benefit High Beam €25.85
Chit Chat Highlighter €1.49, available in Dealz outlets across Ireland
